Blank Minecraft Server File

I've downloaded the java version instead of simply the exe. file as I have seen others with the same downside strive to fix the problem this fashion. I'm certain that the exports and imports for the IP handle connections and have entered the 25565, and listed both TCP and UDP or whatever. I exploit the CT-5374 which is a Comtrend router. However the Minecraft server file; the stats, log and chat, and gamers all present up blank. Nonetheless it doesn't listing it as a "java" or ".jar" or whatever after the file identify. I'm unsure what the problem is apart from it's having to deal with the blankness however I am tired of running into all of these problems. I have been troubleshooting for practically three straight hours and still can't seem to fairly repair it. I can join onto my multiplayer server, however my pals cannot, and I am uncertain of what to do now.
