Massage therapy is the act of relaxing and manipulating tissues. This allows manipulation of soft tissues and structures. There are two types of massage therapy: manual and mechanical. Manual massage includes massage applied with hands, fingers, palms, elbows, and feet. Mechanical massage, on the other hand, involves the application of pressure with a device, such as rolling brushes, heated oils, heated water, or vacuum devices.

Massage therapy is based upon the principle that relaxing a muscle can lead to a decrease of muscular tension and an increase of range of motion. Applying pressure to a specific area of the body is a great way to massage. 울산출장마사지 Applying pressure to a specific point on the body increases blood flow and improves flexibility. Myofascial release is also an alternative therapy treatment believed to be helpful for the treatment of chronic pain and muscle immobility by relaxing tight contractions, enhancing blood and lymphatic flow, and increasing the stretch response in tight muscles.

Trigger Point Massage Therapists are professionals who use specific massage techniques to treat particular areas of the body. They focus on increasing range of motion, relieving chronic pain, and reducing muscle stiffness and spasm. A trigger is an area in which nerves or muscle have formed a painful knot or taut band around a certain area.

Myofascial Massage therapists use myofascial massage techniques to release knots, reduce chronic tension, decrease soreness, increase range and flexibility, and reduce soreness. When myofascial release massage therapist apply pressure to a specific point along the myofascial chain, myofascial tapes and triggers are used to release these knots. These triggers may be either manual, electric, hydraulic, or a combination of both. Trigger point therapy has been proven to not only relieve pain, but help with muscle repair, and strengthen the body's immune system.

Deep Tissue Massage This massage technique treats deeper layers below the surface layers of muscle and joint tissues. This technique does not require the use of trigger points, myofascial release, or deep tissue stretching. In this technique, a massage therapist uses her hands to pull tight, compressed, and stressed muscles. Tension is released by doing this. This helps to reduce stress that has been built up over time. This technique is described by many as having an urge to throw up. However, it releases chronic tension.

Trigger Point therapy uses mechanical devices that stimulate points along myofascia or connective tissues to increase flexibility, and to relieve tension. Specific trigger points are activated by the mechanical device. These trigger points can be found in muscles, tendons, ligaments or other tissues. When pressure is applied, the trigger point is depressed. This causes the muscles to contract. This technique does not employ massage therapy techniques such deep tissue stretching and myofascial relief. The therapist can apply continuous pressure to the muscles when they are contracted.

Soft tissue release The massage therapist uses soft, steady pressure combined with the hands-on technique for soft tissue release. With soft tissue release, the massage therapist uses gentle strokes to release the adhesions, or scar tissue, from joints and other areas. If the skin becomes too stretched, such as from vigorous exercise, adhesions will form in the tissue. The adhesions, or scar tissue, can be painful and release stiffness and soreness.

Manual Pressure and acupressure. A massage therapist may also use manual pressure, which is a hands-on technique that can release pain and relieve discomfort. This technique is known as acupressure, and it has been used for hundreds years in China and Europe. This method involves using the thumbs, fingers, palms, forearms, or even elbows to apply gentle direct pressure over specific acupoints. Acupressure can relieve pain by increasing blood flow, relaxing muscles and increasing circulation. It also provides relief from a wide range of conditions. Many people who use this form of massage have stated that it is the most effective way to relieve pain.
