Minecraft is already a very clever game, but it could look better, right? There is an odd way people can design things quickly and easily, and that is AI. Thanks to images from Dall-E running rampant around the internet, AI is a big thing at the moment, so it was only a matter of time until someone gave Minecraft the AI treatment.

Mysticat, who can be found building tanks and shooting friends with them, decided that it was time to see the true potential of Mojang’s voxel universe. Their latest video shows them trying out a variety AI systems to change the game's looks and sounds. Soundraw and Craiyon are used to create music and sound effects. You can follow along the video for each AI used. Each little change quickly adds-up.

All of these small changes can lead to a strange end result. Although some blocks, like dirt, look pretty good, the PNG images of flowers and the terrifying faces of some Minecraft mobs are a nightmare. The sound effects are especially haunting. Each animal sounds like something you would expect to hear when the world is overthrown by a demon invasion.

On the plus side we think this is enough proof to show that it's people who should be designing the games, not AI sites. This could also indicate that the inevitable machine uprising may still be a ways off. We're still in trouble if Minecraft's Warden becomes real and escapes the game.
